Carrollton GA photographer: Anna Gordon Portraits
There’s nothing more humbling, as a photographer, than being hired by another professional photographer! Talk about pressure! Most of us spend so much time behind the camera that it can be hard to get into photos with our own families. We know so much about the technical aspects of photography, and about posing, that it can be difficult to give up control and let someone else take the reigns! When Mandy first contacted me about generational portraits for the women in her family, I was so humbled – and we’ve been planning this session for nearly a year, so it was really fun to see it all come together.
My favorite part of this session was working with Donna, Mandy’s mom. As a Mother and Grandmother, she spends most of her time taking care of others – so it was extra special to have the chance to pamper her and make her feel beautiful. She had never had a makeover and portraits like these before, and she was nervous when she first got in front of the camera, but by the end of the shoot I could tell that she felt as beautiful as she looked <3
Enjoy some of my favorites from this session…
