Happy Thursday everyone! This week is a fun one for me – I’m currently in the middle of shooting 5 big photo sessions in 7 days, and I wouldn’t have it any other way! This week has brought me everything from underwater photos to pageant headshots, and I love the challenge that comes with being a personal branding photographer and molding my style to my client’s brands on top of family and boudoir photography. Things are gearing up as we move into the fall season (still waiting on the Atlanta weather to realize it’s fall, though!) and I’m excited to keep this momentum through the fall, and into January for Valentine’s Day boudoir sessions!
Today I’m sharing a special session with you. Iyabo Ojikutu is an author, a blogger, and an inspiration to me on both a personal and professional level. You can find her book, Permanent Happiness, on Amazon. In addition to being a mother and an author, she’s an accomplished pediatrician and even recently spoke at the United Nations about peace. I’ve had the pleasure of working with her multiple times this year, and each time I’m around her I try to soak up as much inspiration and knowledge as possible. I can’t wait to see where her journey will take her next….
For Iyabo’s first photo session with me, our goal was to create images for her book launch and for use on her new website and blog. Her book launch was a brand new venture, outside of her pediatric practice, and we knew we wanted her to launch with a high end, polished, and gorgeous look. This was the first time she was putting a personal brand out to the world, so it was important that she created the right perception from the beginning. Over the months, I have loved see how much traction she has gotten out of her photos, using a new photo nearly daily for her blog posts and to keep things fresh on social media….and it’s been fun to see all of the opportunities that building her personal brand using these images has afforded her. It’s been an honor to be part of her team through this process!
Thank you, Iyabo, for including me in your journey as your personal branding photographer – I can’t wait to see what the future brings!
